We use information from the service to operate CV ZA, improve it, and keep it free.
Your CV file is made on your phone. Vantum, the business operating CV ZA, uses information from the app to run it and keep it free.
At the download step there is one tick box: Send me matching jobs and offers on WhatsApp. It starts unticked. Leaving it unticked means no marketing messages. A separate box on a service request allows Vantum to contact you about that request only. We store the wording, choice and time of each permission.
You can untick marketing permission and download again to record that change, or reply stop to any message we send.
The buttons that write bullet points, polish your summary, tailor your CV to an advert or draft a cover letter use an AI that does not run on your phone. When you tap one, the words that job needs are sent through our server to the company that does the writing, then the draft comes back.
Information is stored on our servers. Hosting may be outside South Africa. We keep it for as long as it is needed to run the service.
Reply stop to any message we send and we stop. We never message anyone who did not give contact permission.
